Häppy Hour combines contemporary circus and comedy, diving into the absurd encounters of northern nightlife and our conflicted relationship with alcohol. Häppy Hour is an ode to the dark Nordic world and its social culture. The work grapples with our conflicted relationship with alcohol, exploring the strange and confusing interactions that the Nordic nightlife offers. Häppy Hour approaches real-life situations, interpreting them through circus and comedy, showing that things don’t always have to be so serious. Sometimes it’s possible to laugh at yourself even in difficult situations.
