À propos
Fernando Salazar Boza is a Peruvian guitarist, composer, and arranger based in Helsinki. His work blends Latin American traditions with contemporary influences, drawing from Afro-Peruvian rhythms, improvisation, and chamber-music aesthetics. He has performed internationally at renowned venues such as the Lincoln Center in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and develops original music that explores groove, texture, and storytelling through the guitar.
This one-hour acoustic solo guitar performance presents original compositions developed throughout a creative career shaped by Latin American rhythms and contemporary influences. The performance moves between groove-based pieces, atmospheric soundscapes, and improvisation, highlighting the richness of Afro-Peruvian and broader Latin American musical traditions through an intimate and expressive solo format.
This event session supported by Taike and Global Music Department, Sibelius Academy.
The “Musical Instruments of the World” project is curated and produced by Melisa Yıldırım.
