Harakka Island Summer Exhibitions

Temporary exhibitions and events by artists working on Harakka Island throughout the summer. The artists at Harakka Artists’ House organize art exhibitions and various events on Harakka Island from May through October. During the summer, Galleria Lennätin operates out of the island’s old telegraph building, and exhibitions are also held in locations such as the old military casemates. Over 30 professionals from various art fields work at Harakka Artists’ House. Inside the building, art forms and generations of artists come together in a unique way. The weekly rotating exhibitions offer a glimpse into the heart of Harakka’s artist community: the work of individual creators intertwines with a larger whole, where the island’s environment and history are woven together.
