Currents of Affects – a European Journey

The European Union Baroque Orchestra’s colourful programme flows from the splendour of the French court through Rome to the musical landscapes of Salzburg, Prague, Venice and Hamburg. Currents of Affects – A European Journey celebrates our shared European cultural heritage and invites audiences to explore the vivid world of Baroque music, shaped by cultural exchange and collective imagination. The music represents a living tradition: flexible, adaptable, and constantly in motion—much like the society in which it emerged. Baroque music is one of the earliest and clearest examples of a truly European culture: a network built not on uniformity but on the exchange of ideas, influences, and practices. Under the direction of renowned baroque oboist Alfredo Bernardini, the outstanding musicians of EUBO bring this rich musical heritage to life in captivating performance.
