AI Solution Sprint

Are you interested in AI and its endless possibilities? Do you want to meet AI startups in Finland and put your knowledge into action? Then this event is for you! AI Solution Sprint is a two-day hackathon-style event on 9-10 September where international students and startups in Helsinki meet to solve challenges in the AI technology industry. Students will get to meet innovative companies that will provide a challenge for you to solve in a team. Teams will be randomized. This event is open to all international students studying in the metropolitan area from all educational backgrounds – No AI experience or expertise needed! Students have the opportunity to earn 5 credits by participating in AI Solution Sprint. For UAS students, the course codes are SER029AS2AE-3016 (Bachelor) and DIG707HH0YE-3001 (Master). University students can inquire with their own institution about the transfer of credits. The course combines preparatory learning and practical experimentation in AI training on 1.9. at 2pm–3:30pm (online). The course also includes a pre-event task and post-event reflection. The course is aimed at international students studying in the Helsinki Capital Region. If you don't participate in the course, you can just attend the event on 9-10 September. This is an opportunity to make connections with fellow, like-minded students and innovative startups, develop entrepreneurial tools for problem-solving, and earn a few student credits along the way. It's time to ideate and create in a fast-paced environment where innovation thrives! We will prioritize the attendance of international students at the event. If we receive many applications, we will consider the motivation of the applicants. This event is powered by Business Helsinki, Metropolia, Haaga-Helia, and AI Start. WHAT: A hackathon-style event where students come together to solve a challenge provided by companies with AI-driven innovation. WHO: All international students studying in the Helsinki Capital Region from all educational backgrounds – No AI experience or expertise needed! WHEN: Wednesday–Thursday 9-10 September, 8am–5pm. Opportunity to network after the event! If you wish to receive student credits from participation, it also involves an intro session and AI training on 1.9. 2pm–3:30pm (online). WHERE: Maria 01 (Lapinlahdenkatu 16), Helsinki. WHY: You get to connect with companies and students with similar interests, put your knowledge into concrete action, and learn new skills!
